Getting Started

PLOS stands for Personal Life Operating System. It connects your routines, mood, health, goals, and AI guidance into a single cohesive system designed around how you actually live.

This is not another habit tracker. PLOS is a life management platform with an AI guide that learns your patterns, a physical robot companion that sits on your desk, and multi-channel support across Web, WhatsApp, Telegram, and a mobile app (coming soon).

  • Routines — build habits with streaks, smart reminders, and AI coaching
  • Mood & Energy — track how you feel throughout the day and spot trends
  • Health — sleep, stress, and physical wellness in one dashboard
  • AI Guide — a personal assistant that knows your data and gives real advice
  • Robot Companion — Buddy, your physical and virtual companion
  1. Set up your life areas Choose the areas that matter to you — health, career, relationships, personal growth, finances, and more. These become the foundation of your system.
  2. Create your first routine Start simple. Pick one routine like a morning walk or reading session. Set the time, frequency, and duration. You can always add more later.
  3. Log your first mood and energy reading Tap the mood icon and rate how you feel (1–10). Do the same for energy. This takes 10 seconds and gives the AI valuable data.
  4. Chat with the AI guide Open the AI chat and say hello. Ask for advice, ask it to set a reminder, or just tell it about your day. It learns from every interaction.
  5. Meet Buddy — your robot companion Buddy is a floating companion that lives on your screen (and eventually on your desk as a physical robot). It reacts to your mood, reminds you of tasks, and keeps you company.

Profile settings — Set your display name, timezone, and preferred language. Your timezone controls when routines reset and when reminders fire.

Messaging channels — Link your WhatsApp or Telegram account to receive reminders and interact with the AI guide through your favourite messaging app. Go to Settings → Messaging to connect.

Privacy controls — You own all your data. PLOS is self-hosted and privacy-first. You can export your data at any time, control what the AI can see, and delete your account entirely from Settings → Privacy.

Features

The Dashboard is the first thing you see when you open PLOS. It aggregates signals from every part of the system into a single view.

  • Life Balance score — a composite score based on how consistently you maintain routines across all your life areas. It is not a grade; it is a mirror.
  • Next Action widget — the single most important thing you should do right now, determined by time of day, overdue tasks, and AI priority.
  • Evening Review — appears in the evening. Summarises what you accomplished, what you missed, and asks for a brief reflection.
  • Keyboard shortcuts — press H for Dashboard, M for Mood, R for Routines, / for AI Chat, ? for Help.

Routines are the backbone of PLOS. Each routine has a name, preferred time, frequency, and optional duration.

  • Creating a routine — go to Routines → New Routine. Set the name (e.g. "Morning Walk"), choose a time slot (morning, afternoon, evening), set the frequency (daily, weekdays, custom), and optionally set a target duration.
  • Completing routines — tap the checkbox next to a routine to mark it done. You can also complete routines via AI chat by saying "I finished my morning walk".
  • Streaks — consecutive days of completing a routine build a streak. The system celebrates milestones (7 days, 30 days, 100 days) and your streak is visible on the dashboard.
  • Routine groups — organise routines into categories (Health, Work, Learning) to see balance across life areas.
  • AI-suggested routines — based on your mood patterns and goals, the AI may suggest new routines or adjustments to existing ones.
  • Mood logging — rate your mood on a 1–10 scale. You can log multiple times per day. Over time, the system identifies patterns (e.g. mood dips on Mondays, highs after exercise).
  • Energy levels — separate from mood. You might feel happy but tired, or grumpy but energised. Tracking both gives a more complete picture.
  • Sleep tracking — log when you went to bed and woke up. The system calculates duration and correlates sleep quality with mood and energy.
  • Stress tracking — log your stress level throughout the day. Helps identify triggers and measure the effectiveness of stress-reducing routines.
  • Journal entries — free-form text entries attached to any mood log. Write about your day, your thoughts, anything. The AI reads these (with your permission) to give better advice.
  • AI insights — the AI analyses your mood, energy, sleep, and stress data to find correlations. It might notice that your mood improves on days you exercise, or that poor sleep leads to low energy the next day.

The AI chat is not a generic chatbot. It has full context of your routines, mood history, health data, and goals.

  • What you can ask — "How has my mood been this week?", "What should I focus on today?", "Set a reminder for my workout at 6pm", "I just finished my meditation".
  • How AI learns — every interaction, every mood log, every completed routine enriches the AI’s understanding of you. It uses local AI models for privacy.
  • Action blocks — the AI can take actions on your behalf: mark routines complete, create reminders, log mood entries. Just ask in natural language.
  • Weekly summaries — every week, the AI generates a summary of your patterns, achievements, and areas for improvement.
  • Creating reminders — set a one-time or recurring reminder from the Reminders page, or ask the AI to create one for you.
  • Channels — choose where you receive reminders: Web push notifications, WhatsApp messages, or Telegram messages. You can use different channels for different reminders.
  • Smart scheduling — reminders are timezone-aware and respect your quiet hours. The system avoids stacking multiple reminders at the same time.
  • Routine-linked reminders — attach a reminder directly to a routine. When the routine is completed, the reminder is automatically dismissed.
  • What is tracked — sleep duration and quality, energy levels throughout the day, mood trends over weeks and months, and stress patterns.
  • Health insights — the system correlates your data to surface insights: "You sleep 45 minutes more on days you exercise" or "Your energy peaks at 10am on weekdays".
  • Connecting health data — all health data is logged directly in PLOS. Future integrations with wearable devices are planned.
  • Setting goals — create goals with a title, target date, and connected life area. Goals can be broken down into milestones.
  • Life areas explained — life areas are the broad categories of your life: Health, Career, Relationships, Finance, Personal Growth, Creativity, and more. Each area has a health score based on routine consistency.
  • Connecting goals to routines — link routines to goals so that completing daily habits directly contributes to your long-term objectives.
  • Progress tracking — view progress over time with weekly and monthly reports. The AI highlights what is working and what needs attention.
  • What Buddy does — Buddy is a companion that reacts to your mood, celebrates your streaks, nudges you when you are falling behind, and keeps you company throughout the day.
  • Chat with Buddy — talk to Buddy through the AI chat. Buddy has a distinct personality — warm, encouraging, occasionally cheeky.
  • Expressions and personality — Buddy has animated facial expressions that change based on your mood data and routine completion. Happy when you are on track, concerned when you are stressed.
  • Physical robot — the physical version of Buddy is an ESP32-S3 powered desk pet with LED eyes, a speaker, and motion sensors. It syncs with your PLOS data in real time.
  • Data export — export all your data as JSON at any time from Settings → Privacy → Export Data. You get everything: routines, mood logs, chat history, health data.
  • Account deletion — delete your entire account and all associated data from Settings → Privacy → Delete Account. This is permanent and irreversible.
  • What AI sees — the AI has access to your routines, mood/energy data, and health logs to provide personalised advice. It does not have access to your raw journal entries unless you explicitly grant permission.
  • No third-party sharing — PLOS is self-hosted. Your data never leaves your server. There is no analytics tracking, no ad network integration, no data brokerage. Period.

The web app is fully responsive and works well on mobile browsers. A native Flutter-based mobile app is currently in development and will be available soon.
Complete a routine every day and your streak counter increments. The system celebrates milestones at 7, 30, and 100 consecutive days. If you miss a day, the streak resets but your entire history is preserved — no shame, just data.
Your streak resets, but nothing is lost. Your completion history remains intact and visible. PLOS is designed to be encouraging, not punishing. Missing a day is data, not failure.
Yes. You can tell the AI "I finished my morning walk" and it will mark the routine as complete. The AI can also set reminders, log mood entries, and perform other actions through natural language commands.
